Grandpa Washburn's Visit to Chicago

Grandpa Washburn visited Chicago this weekend. We had a full weekend - crawfish boil, Cubs game, the guys went to the Pittsburgh bar - all on Saturday. On Sunday we took Rosie to the Lake - she saw water and boats for the first time.

Swinging with Grandpa

Yelling for joy...

Rosie at 6 months...

Rosie had her 6 month appt today - she is officially 15lbs 5oz and 26 1/4 inches long. She can pretty much sit up on her own now, sucks her toes, and is learning some form of waving "bye bye". She also now eats "real" food 3 times a day and got her first tooth on Sunday - the bottom left one, it is just poking through and you can see the one on the right side ready to come out too. We are still working on the laugh - she still pants like a dog or snorts like a pig with
a huge smile when she laughs:)

Rosie still is not in love with tummy time. She is big fan of laying on her side...
especially in her fancy outfit.

Sucking on one of her feet...

Wearing her favorite football team's cheerleading outfit. Go Bills!

Weekend in Buffalo

Rosie and I spent a weekend in Buffalo for Betty's shower at the end of April.
We were able to visit with a lot of people and meet some new friends.
Nosey Rosie examing Julie Kim.
Yummy....trying to eat the camera.

Meeting grass for the first time. Rosie doesn't see a lot of grass in the
city and I guess she doesn't like it:)

Hanging out with Uncle Teddy

Happy just hanging out in her dress

Attempting to sit up in with her new hat on ...

Chicago Baseball

Rosie has enjoyed a lot of Chicago baseball already this spring. She has been to 6 games already - 4 Cubs game, 1 rooftop Cubs game and 1 White Sox game.
She told me enjoyed the White Sox game the best.

At the White Sox game.

We took the "El" to the game - Rosie loves staring at everyone getting on and off the train.

Rosie and Marta, her favorite nanny, on opening day.

Daddy and Rosie getting ready for Opening Day-Rosie did not go to

Opening Day, it is not a place for babies:)

Enjoying her first beer at the game....

And passing out at the game, like a lot of other "fans" at Cubs games.

Baptism

Rosie got baptized in Chicago on April 11, the night before Easter. She was one of 6 people who got baptized - 1 other baby and four adults. It was a very memorable service...it lasted 2 hours, but it went by fast. Rosie was lucky to have a ton of family fly into Chicago to see her get baptized and celebrate Easter the next day.
She was a champ - hang out till 11pm with a lot of smiles:)
Below is a lot picture of her wearing her Great Grandpa DeVantier's christening gown, that her cousin Olivia wore the week before for her baptism.
Aunt Mary and Aunt Marcia...actually Great Aunts!
